Blood Obsession: Fire and love

Bobbi snatched one of Markie’s cookies off the counter. The delicious oatmeal raisin confection melted in her mouth. She smiled as she stepped from the third floor appointment. “Breakfast of Champions.” The day was warm, sunny and inviting. She sucked in a breath wishing she was on her way to anywhere but work. Her body was still tingling from her first kiss with Max.

The subway stop was busy and hot. The smell of the city was wafting through the grates. She watched the people rushing to get to work or home. They moved engrossed in their actions, not paying any attention to the world around them. On the other hand, she saw it all: the woman in heels so high, she looked like she was going to fall after every step. The man talking loudly on his phone to his wife trying to explain that he spent the night before in the office while escorting a woman clearly not his wife. The mother taking her children to school and the two marine recruiters literally pressed into the uniforms. She held the steel pole and swayed with the moving car. All of a sudden, a bump disrupted her footing and she held tightly trying not to fall.

Thick smoke began to fill the train. Screams and coughing rolled through the derailed cars. Bobbi pulled her phone from her bag and called in the emergency advising the operator that she was onboard. She needed to figure out a plan of attack. Quickly she identified herself and advised the car’s occupants to stay low. As panic set in among the souls on the train, she did her best to prevent people from jumping onto the electrified track.

Within minutes, the city’s bravest began to gain access. Bobbi’s lungs felt scorched. Her eyes stung and her nose poured irritated by the acrid smoke. She pulled her badge from her bag and strung it around her neck. She stayed present in the car until the last passenger was evacuated.

Max strutted into the office carrying coffee for all his colleagues. Bob McCauley entered the squad room, a look of concern on his face. The one train derailed between 14th and 18th. There are reports of smoke and fire. “Bobbi is on board.” Anxiety ripped at his stomach. Her friends all immediately stood and took to the door. They split up. Half went to the 14th street station and Max and Dave Jordan and two others headed to 18th street.

Fire apparatus littered the street. Smoke continued to pour from the exits and EMS personnel were busy treating the injured. Max raked his fingers through his hair. His grey eyes were filled with fear. Dave Jordan approached the three star fire chief on scene. “We’ve got a cop on board the train.” The Chief crisply called into the radio. His dark eyes gave nothing away. But the smoke filling the air and the carnage displayed in the roadway said it all.

Firefighters held Max back as he tried to run into the fray. “It’s two dangerous man.” A burly firefighter grabbed him. “There’s no air down there.” Bobbi fought to breathe, the acrid smoke started to take its toll. Sooted, silver streaks stained her cheeks. Her swollen eyes leaked wet tears. The last person, an obese male who collapsed was cleared from the car. “C’mon Ma’am”, a young, tall firefighter with brown unkempt hair led her to the ladder that would free her from the car. As she climbed the rungs, he maintained a hand in the small of her back to support her rapidly weakening knees.

Bobbi reached the top of the ladder and her lungs no longer provided the needed air for her exertion. Her head spun and she collapsed. The firefighter caught her before she crashed back to the subway car floor. Moments later the sunlight enveloped the pair. Max whipped around at the sight. His eyes filled with terror. His first instinct was to rip her from the firefighter’s arms. But common sense took over and he let the EMT’s treat her.

As cool oxygen filled her lungs her eyes opened. His grey stare met her hazel eyes. His lips caressed her sooty brow. “Princess.” He took her hand and brushed the back of it with his rough fingers. “Hi.” She coughed heavily. “Shhhh.” He winked at her. New sooty tears filled her eyes. He smiled at her with sexy eyes. His lips remained tight in a grim line unable to hide his worry. Her senses reeled at his protective touch. “Rest. Let them take care of you.” She closed her eyes, his face imprinted in her mind, his love filling her heart.

Blood Obsession: To serve and protect

Steve Canton walked in to the turn out room. A new class graduated four days before and he was getting his new probie. The senior officers in the bunch all took bets on which one of their babies was going to screw up first.

Bobbi exited the locker room fresh and new. Her uniform was pressed and her equipment was shiny and polished. She was part of the 105 assigned to the 7-5. It was a combination of housing projects and apartment complexes in the East New York section of Brooklyn. It was also one of the largest and highest crime areas in the city. Inspector Todd Sylvestri stood before the 4-12 shift. “I want to welcome you to the best trained and best prepared police department in New York. What you do here in this precinct is a direct reflection on me and your fellow officers. I expect you to keep your ears open and your eyes always seeking.” He turned the podium over to the platoon commander. Hank Martin made quick work and handed out assignments. Despite her hook, she did not avoid being put in an IMPACT precinct. Rookies were assigned to the highest crime areas.

Steve Canton, married father of three smiled at the “pretty young thing.” She was going to attract  the wrong kind of attention on the streets. She wore her hair tied in a tight braid and wrapped into a bun. Her hazel eyes glittered with first day apprehension. “Hi, I’m Bobbi Wallace.” She extended her hand. Steve was shocked at the strength in her grip. “Welcome to the 7-5. Ready to learn?” His question was warm not patronizing like some of the other senior guys.” “Lead the way.”

The afternoon was crisp and cold. The sun shined brilliantly reflecting of the natural red highlights in her hair. “90 percent of the folks here are good hard-working people, ten percent are what we worry about. They give us all the problems. 4-12 is two different worlds. The working folks go home and the gangs come out to play. The Pink houses and the Linden Houses are in a war. Keep your eyes open and your hands ready.”

Canton eased the patrol car between two cars that were driving like idiots on Fulton Avenue. The white caddy and the black van were weaving in an out of traffic cutting each other off. “Looks like road rage. Let’s see if we can calm these two down”

The driver in the Cadillac claimed that he was driving with traffic when the black van cut him off. “And you couldn’t just let it go?” Cantob shook his head. “Stay here.” He instructed the driver after taking his license. Carefully they approached the van. “Pay attention, we cannot see inside like the car.” He cautioned. The driver stepped from the van. He was shorter than Steve but out weighed Bobbi by at least 75 lbs. He smelled paint and thinner.  Spying Bobbi, he smiled perversely and reached to touch her.”Mira mamá sexy. Quiero ver qué hay debajo del uniforme que.” Bobbi laughed and responded in perfect Spanish. “Mantenga las manos a sí mismo o NO ME graba tu pene y lo pegamos en la cabeza como un unicornio.” The man immediately stopped and acted quite docile. Minutes later they were sent on their way in opposite directions.

Steve looked at her with questioning eyes. “You want to share?” Bobbi shrugged still laughing. “He wanted to know what I looked like without the uniform. I just told him if he didn’t keep his hands to himself, I would make him a unicorn.” “Nice job kiddo., Nice job.”

Blood Obsession: New Start Part 2

Max sat at his desk rolling his wedding ring with his thumb.  His eyes focused on the now empty desk. “Hit the ground running, will try to call when I can. <3” The text message filled the screen of his phone. “<3” He responded back. The choice to move on was right. He knew it,  but would the transfer to Special Victim’s Unit be good for her? He tried to shake off the feeling as being overprotective. He thought instead of her first week in the unit. Dave and Rose were assigned to court and he was assigned ‘Princess’. Chuckling to himself at the memory of the first time he called her that. She never complained. A nickname first mentioned to tease was now the term of his deep love for her. She was his princess.

The Brownstone building was old and stately. The old iron elevator barely contained the two of them. The gate intricately carved in flowers and ivy. The doors closed and her fragrance wafted in the air. He was lost. “Buckley, for Christ sakes you are 31 years old. Stop feeling like you are 15.” These feelings unnerved him. Both reached for the bell. Her hand brushed against his and he felt electricity. “You okay?” Her voice soft and concerned. He shrugged his shoulders. He watched her pony tail swing as they waited.

Leonard Bosworth answered the door. The 28 year old trust fund baby was wearing tight leather pants that left nothing to the imagination. His black tee shirt was equally tight revealing a taut rippled abdomen. “Detective Buckley and Wallace to see Leonard Bosworth.” Max extended his hand. “Come in detectives.” He stared at Bobbi, a hint of recognition in his eyes. Max sat on the blood red couch. Bobbi chose the high backed intricately carved chair. “Can you tell us what was stolen?” Bosworth answered Max, watching Bobbi like prey. Bobbi tilted her head apparently bemused at the unwanted attention. He pointed at the empty grey wall. “My Picasso.” Bobbi stood and walked to the wall. Both men watched her run her fingers against the wall. “Quick repair?” Bobbi now stood directly in front of him. Max watched her roll her bottom lip under the top. Again she tilted her head. Max fought to suspend his sudden desire to devour her mouth. “What do you mean detective?” “The wall is warm. The plaster is fresh.” Bobbi backed up. Bosworth stood placing a controlling hand on Bobbi’s hip. He liked what he saw. Before Bobbi could react, Max rose like a cobra ready to strike. Bosworth withdrew his hand. Max moved between them. “How dare he even think to touch her?” subduing his desire to deck him. “What was behind the painting?” Bosworth’s mouth curled downward in a frown.

Bosworth sat. His face a combination of rage and frustration. No woman ever questioned him. Bobbi was under his skin. “I do not know what you mean.” Max pulled himself out of his fog. “Answer Detective Wallace’s question.” His voice icy. Bobbi stood again running one freshly manicured finger along the intricate chair rail molding. Max watched wishing he was beneath that touch. She paused, smiled and pressed. The wall slid open revealing a safe. Bobbi walked over to Max and away from the pretentious man triumphant. Leonard Bosworth was used to getting what he wanted. Bobbi was used to men like him. He disgusted her. Max’s anger flared and continued the interview no longer distracted.

Two hours later, they parted company. It was clear the painting was the least of his losses. Mr. Bosworth lost two million dollars worth of untraceable bearer bonds. “Okay princess, tell me how the hell you knew?” “Beginner’s luck.” Bobbi’s smile was warm and seductive. She did not want to say that there was a similar vault in her own home. Max melted again. His imagination was wild. He wondered what other secrets were under that beautiful exterior. The phone returned him to reality.

Bobbi and her new partner Kurt Walden drove east to the Suffolk County home of Kyle Schmitt, Emily’s boyfriend and rapist. “Bobbi, I am really sorry about what happened at the hospital.” “Kurt how could you know?” “You are my partner now. I should have asked. Forgive me?” Kurt pulled up in front of the brown ranch home.”

Fran Schmitt, Kyle’s mom answered the door. Kurt and Bobbi decided they would play it as a notification rather than an accusatory interview. “Mrs. Schmitt, we would like to speak with Kyle about his girlfriend Emily.” She opened the door for them.

Kyle was 6’2 with hazel eyes and black wiry hair. He nervously played with his phone. “Kyle, Emily wanted us to speak with you. She was hurt at school last night.” “Oh my god, what happened?” Bile rose in Bobbi’s throat. “She was attacked.” Kurt continued. “Really, I told her she could get hurt leaving like that.” “Leaving like what?” “Going away, living in a dorm. Bad things can happen.” Bobbi noticed he never asked about her. “She is very upset.” “She should be. She learned what happens to bad girls.” Kurt stiffened. “What happens?” Bobbi asked her voice childlike. “She gets taught a lesson.” “What kind of lesson.” Kurt pushed. “She gets reminded who’s the boss.” Kyle shifted to the edge of his seat. “Kyle, don’t you want to know how Emily is?” “I know.” “You know what?” ” i know what happened. She should be good and sore. She knows she’s mine.” Kurt flashed a look at Bobbi. “Sore from what?” “I took what’s mine. I fucked that little bitch hard. No one will want those goods but me.” “Kyle Schmitt, please stand up.” Before Kurt could finish his statement, Kyle ran. “Son of a bitch, they always run.” Kurt and Bobbi followed after him. Bobbi tore out the door with Kurt on her heels. Kyle jumped the fence in a neighboring yard. Bobbi vaulted the fence diving for Kyle’s knees. She brought him down hard. Kurt reached them in time to help her secure him. “Kyle Schmitt, you are under arrest.”

Bobbi was fast asleep when he got home. He carefully locked his gun away and went downstairs to unwind. He turned an old World War II movie and sipped a beer. Andrew slipped into her room. His hand snaked around her face. He hiked up her nightgown and forced his way inside her. “No! Stop!” Bobbi screamed at the top of her lungs. Max dropped the beer and ran taking the steps two at a time. Bobbi’s screams continued unabated. Max throw open the bedroom door. His breath caught in his throat. Gently, he approached her screaming form. The dream had a deep hold. Her hands beat at him. “Bobbi, I’m here. Princess, you are safe. Shhh.” He cooed pulling her into his embrace. Her eyes flew open tears replacing the screams.

Blood Obsession: SVU

Max drove. Bobbi sat in silence beside him. Holiday decorations decorated the streets. “Princess it is going to be okay I promise.” “Max, I’m still scared.”

The Manhattan Special Victims Squad was a decrepit office on the second floor of a Harlem building. Brad Dellecourt, Max’s old partner sat waiting for them. Brad smiled a taut grin at Max and extended his hand to Bobbi. He remembered her from the Emergency Room. Bobbi’s hands were clammy and cold. “Come let’s talk.” He pointed to an interview room. Grabbing an empty rolling chair for her he led her inside. “You don’t need to sit on one of those.” He pointed to a pair of hard chairs in the room. Max could not come in as he was her “outcry” the first person to hear her complete story. He had his own statement to make.

Brad closed the door. “Bobbi, I would like to record your statement if that’s all right.” Brad smiled reassuringly. She is a friend of a friend. Bobbi swallowed hard and nodded her head.

“Ok here we go.” Brad pressed the button to begin the recording.
“This Brad Dellecourt Detective Sergeant Manhattan Special Victims Unit. I am here with a 26 year old female Complainant. Please state your name for the record”
“Roberta Wallace, but please call me Bobbi.”
“Bobbi, do I have permission to record our conversation. And why are we here tonight?”
“Yes please record this. I need to report an assault.”
“Tell me what happened.”

And there it was, time for her story. “No one will believe you.” Andrew’s evil words, played like a looped recording.  Brad grabbed his pen and pad ready to let her tell her story without interruption.  Bobbi fiddled with the strap of her purse. “On October 21 at about 10:30 pm I returned home from work to my apartment.  It was pouring rain and all I wanted to do was eat something and go to bed. At the downstairs entrance,  Andrew Marcus surprised me. He was standing somewhere behind me.  He grabbed my gun off my left hip and pressed it into my side.” Brad scribbled “cop?” on his pad. “He forced me up to my third floor apartment by threatening to kill me or anyone who heard me scream. I let us in to the apartment asking him to please stop. I have known Andrew since I was five. I told him I hated him. He said I belonged to him. I would never belong to him. He was angry. He told me I was his.”

“You are doing fine Bobbi. There is no rush. Just take your time.”

“I was now scared. He told me I was his the day he made love to me on his yacht. Hell, I was 16. He was my first. She shook her head. “I tried to push him away and he struck me across my face. I tried to run down my hall and he grabbed me.  He forced me into my room and told me to take my clothes off. When I told him no he hit me in the head with the butt of my gun. I passed out.” Bobbi’s eyes filled with tears. “When I woke, I was naked face down on my bed. He was inside me. He had my hands behind my back held tightly by his hand. His right hand was holding my gun on the bed next to me. I felt raw inside. I begged him to stop. He came inside me. He pulled out. I was so nauseous. I pleaded with him. He yanked me down the bed and forced his way into my bottom.” Tears rolled down her cheeks. Brad handed her some tissues.

“Do you need a break Bobbi?” Brad’s voice was compassionate and soothing.

Shaking her head, “I’m ok. He pounded into me and held my hands over my head. He grabbed my gun and forced it into my vagina. I could feel him ripping me. I told him to stop and he asked me what was I going to do report him. He told me no one would believe me. We were lovers. He told me he would destroy Max, my family, my career and Max’s. He dropped my gun on the floor. He thrust more and came. He kissed me down my back and I relaxed enough to get my hands free. I pressed my knees into the bed and grasped his hand and as I pushed away I squeezed his thumb and yanked it down breaking it. I screamed at him to get out and he fled.

Brad pressed the recording off. “Let’s get you something to drink.” Brad stepped out into the squad room. Max was sitting at Brad’s desk. “Come sign this. It’s my statement. How is she?”

“She’s on the edge. When were you gonna tell me she’s on the job? Grab water out of my drawer and get in there. ” “Brad, let her tell you. We need to nail this sick bastard. I love her.” Brad stared at his friend. “We will Max.”

Max handed the bottle to Bobbi. He sat beside her and kissed her tear-stained cheek. “Princess I am here for you. Lean on me.” Bobbi grabbed his hands and placed her head against them. Closing her eyes, she wept.

Brad waited for Bobbi to catch her breath. She continued her statement from the hospital until her call from Andrew that evening. “Ok Bobbi I have a few more questions. Then I will write-up your statement and we will get Mr. Marcus arrested.
What do you do for a living that you carry a gun?”
“I am a New York City Police Officer assigned to the 10th precinct detective squad.”
“On the night of the assault did you drink any alcohol or take any medication?”
“No.”
“Now please sign this to release your kit from the hospital.” Brad passed her the form.”Did you have consensual vaginal or anal intercourse within 72 hours of the attack?
“No”.
“Did you clean your weapon?”
“Yes .” Bobbi looked grim.
Max swallowed hard. “Brad swabs of her gun and her bed sheet are entered in the 10th squad under a Jane Doe rape. I am sorry Princess. I wanted you to have options.” Max’s eyes asked for forgiveness.

“Max, one step ahead of me? She hugged him.

Brad finished the preliminary statement. for Bobbi to sign. In spite of her being on the job. He gently explained every step of what would happen next.

Max held her against him. The night air was freezing but Bobbi was no longer cold. Relief and love warmed her.

Blood Obsession: Fall Breezes

Bobbi steps into the stirrup and pops into the saddle. The chestnut stallion prances under her. A firm squeeze of her calves brings him under control. He is the latest member of her parent’s stable. Zeus stands tall, he senses the experienced rider.

Bobbi adjusts the reins and heads for the wooded trails that surround her parents property. The sun flickers through the golden tree leaves. A soft breeze blows brushing her cheeks like a gentle caress. The smell of moist dirt mixed with pine fills the air as she takes to the trail. A rock of her hips and a tap of her heel urges Zeus into a slow trot and then a gentle canter. Bobbi feels exhilarated.

Her mind flashes to her night before. Dinner with Andrew Marcus, a lawyer in her parents firm, son of a partner, childhood friend, her first lover and the man her parents want her to marry. She so misses Erik. “Why did I do that?” She urges the horse onward.

They sat at the table in the small French bistro. It was their first time seeing each other alone since Bobbi became a police officer. She wore a simple white blouse and navy pencil skirt and Steve Madden pumps. He wore a crisp Tom Ford suit. His black hair impeccably styled. He ordered off the menu in French. Their meal was accompanied by an incredibly delicious pinot noir. “It is so good to see you Roberta.” His voice smooth as silk. Bobbi sipped the wine. “Thank you Andrew. I promised my folks that I would get out more.” She smiled sweetly. “Ah a pity date.” He refilled her glass. “Andrew don’t do that. You an I have known each other since we were toddlers. I value you as a friend.” Andrew raised an eyebrow. “Roberta that is saying you like a specific brand of tires.” Bobbi rolled her eyes. They chatted amicably about her job and his, old friends and family.

“Crème Brule” the waiter served them the delectable dessert topped with fresh strawberries and a touch of whipped cream. Bobbi enjoyed the sweet treat. She felt the warmth of the wine moving through her body. “Darling, do you want to stop out for an after dinner drink?” Bobbi felt safe with him and agreed.

Andrew’s penthouse was a glass kaleidoscope. Walls of glass were illuminated by exquisite colors. A large amber leather couch dominated the living room. The walls were covered in original works of modern art. Bobbi sat comfortably on the couch. She sipped a glass of Cristal. The bubbles tickled her nose. She giggled. Andrew leered at her. He sat beside her. His hand drifted to her knee. “You look beautiful tonight.” Bobbi looked up at him. Andrew bent in to kiss her. Bobbi pushed him gently away. “Andrew, we shouldn’t. I don’t feel….” Andrew pushed her back into the cushions covering her mouth with his. The alcohol took over and she closed her eyes. Dreamily she visualized Erik. Wanting him and needing him. Andrew roughly opened her blouse. Pulling at her bra he twisted each nipple between his fingers. His hands moved greedily across her body. Hoisting up her skirt, he slipped his fingers under the lace of her panties. Bobbi responded unable to say no, the alcohol lowering her threshold. Andrew plied her until her body responded with it’s sweet wetness. Andrew tore at his trousers, and with one rapid thrust he pressed into her. Bobbi yelped at the invasion, now coming more alert. Her eyes flashed open as he thrust inside her. Tears dropped from her cheeks as he filled her. He smiled at her, mistaking her tears of regret for joy.

The tree lay across her path, Bobbi leaned into Zeus’s neck and flew over it. She pressed the graceful animal faster, unleashing her own anger at herself. She should have said no. She will never love him. But her parent’s. He’s safe. “I can’t fall in love again. I just can’t” Fresh tears coated her cheeks as she rode on.

Blood Obsession: Monsters

The woman clung to Bobbi. Her face battered. Her husband struggled against the handcuffs. Bobbi walked her out to an awaiting ambulance. The special victims detective jumped in the ambulance with her. As Bobbi secured the doors of the ambulance she muttered “Monster” to herself. Bobbi and Steve Carlton walked the husband into the building. “That bitch got what she deserved. She’s supposed to put out.” The 75th precinct sat in the east New York section of Brooklyn The desk was busy. The desk officer, Francine Montoya was petite in stature, but her voice boomed across the lobby. “Wallace go see the Inspector.” Bobbi literally jumped out of her shoes. Steve looked at her. “Relax, you didn’t do anything.” His eyes twinkled at his rookie partner. “Hey maybe you did something good. I’ve got this piece of crap go on up.” Steve took control of their prisoner and Bobbi headed down the corridor.

Ashton Scott sat on a corner of Inspector Marty King’s desk. They were laughing as Bobbi walked in. “You needed to see me sir?” She sputtered. “Wallace, you remember Lt. Scott.” Bobbi acknowledged the tall, full chested blonde fit man. He exuded a quiet power. He reminded her of an older version of Erik. Bobbi swallowed hard. “Hi Lieu.” Bobbi stood at attention despite both bosses relaxed demeanor. “Wallace, Lt. Scott has a proposition.”

Three days later Bobbi surveyed the target in front of her. The Arizona sun beat down and burned her skin. Sweat soaked through her shirt outlining her full breasts.  Lt..Ashton Scott coached the department’s competition shooting team. She replaced one of the members who injured his arm falling off a ladder at home. Ashton was reminded by Ken George of the “flawless, sexy rookie who won a graduation award for shooting” Her ability to shoot intrigued him. The team could use a woman. He stood behind her. She smelled his cologne, a mix of ginger, pepper and pine as it surrounded her. She had trouble paying attention as his nearness suddenly aroused her. “There is a breeze from the south. You will have to adjust.” Bobbi nodded trying desperately to ignore a desire her feelings of nervousness and attraction. Ashton Scott had a brooding intensity. She was shocked at her feelings. She had not slept with anyone since Erik died except Andrew. That she regretted deeply.

Bobbi stepped to the line. Three rounds of shooting utilizing her service pistol. Standing, kneeling and seated at a target 15 yds ahead. Ashton placed his hand in the small of her back. “Good luck rookie girl” He whispered against her cheek. From him she tolerated the tease. Her skin tingled, her nerves tried to take her off balance. He stepped from the line. Coaches were not allowed. She squared her feet and waited for the command to fire. Target 32 stood in front of her. “Assume the low ready position. Fire” the command ripped down the line. Two fellow team members stood to her left and three more down the line to her right including Ken George. The bullets exploded from her weapon. The paper tore apart. She fired a perfect round. Her marks put the team into first place.

That night the team celebrated their victory. The bar was filled with cops from all over the United States. The mood was vibrant. Bobbi stood chatting with a Sheriff from North Dakota. “Where the hell did you learn to shoot like that?” Bobbi laughed swigging a sip from the beer Ken handed her. She desperately tried to ignore him and continued chatting with the Sherif.”Home, my dad. I used to target shoot with him.” “Hell honey, you are not even an instructor. You’re a baby.”  Bobbi smiled shaking her head “No sir, guess it just comes naturally.” She rejoined her team feeling a bit woozy. “I raise a toast to our little rookie.” Ken George wrapped his arms around her waist. Bobbi felt uncomfortable at his touch. She felt the room begin to spin. Ashton caught the flash of fear in her eye. “What do you say we call it a night folks. We have one more event early tomorrow. Ken looked angry at the boss and released Bobbi. Breathing a sigh of relief she headed quickly to the door to catch some fresh air to try to clear her head. Ashton took a protective stance between her Ken. “Thank you.” Bobbi whispered. “No worries.”

Ashton walked Bobbi to her door of the hotel. Her gait becoming unsteady. “I don’t feel well sir.” She leaned into him. “Safe passage.” He took the key card from her and opened the door. Bobbi ran for the bathroom and vomited into the toilet. As she knelt, Ashton handed her a wet washcloth. He also poured a cup of water. “Drink.” He had a commanding presence. She looked up into his penetrating blue eyes as she drank the cool fluid “Thank you again.” she whispered. Ashton helped her to her feet. As she stood, she lost her balance again. “Too much heat today.” He lifted her into his arms. He was angry as he feared Ken George had slipped her something. Her eyes clouded over. Gently he cradled her and carried her to the bed. He pulled down the covers and lay her down. The room spun around her. Carefully he removed her shoes and socks. Then he slipped off her jeans and covered her. Watching her as she slept he sat in the chair. He gripped his cell and dialed Ken. He seethed as he waited for him to answer .

Hours later Bobbi awoke and sat up with a start. She had no sense of time or place. “Bobbi, you are ok. Shhh.” Ashton joined her, sitting beside her on the bed. Bobbi looked confused. “I don’t remember leaving the bar.” “I think someone slipped you something.” Ashton handed her the rest of her water. “I wanted to make sure you were OK. I stayed.” His voice was soft and reassuring. Bobbi felt her heart beat rapidly. She was now clear headed but afraid. “Who would do this to me?” She shuddered. “I think it was Ken George.” His eyes flashed red. “Bobbi he is denying everything. Do you remember if he gave you anything?” Bobbi shook her head. “No, I remember the ice cream at dessert. That’s all.” She drew her knees to her chest wrapping her arms around them. “He has made my skin crawl since the first day I met him.” “Look, he will not come near you while you are here. Sgt Malone and I will make sure of it. And he will be disciplined at home. That I promise. ” Bobbi’s eyes teared. “You need to rest. C’mon lie down. Ashton pressed her shoulders into the pillows. She reached her hands around his neck. Pulling his head toward her mouth, he muttered a “we shouldn’t do this.” But he wanted her too. “No strings.” Bobbi ran her tongue over his lower lip. The sigh was guttural. “You are irresistible.” Ashton straddled her hips. She could not move beneath him. Yet she did not feel afraid. Bobbi reached up to touch him as he lifted his tee shirt over his head, His chest was broad covered with curly blonde hair. His abdomen was ripped with taut muscles. He moved his hands over her silk blouse. She arched her breasts into his strong hands. Her nipples tightened into firm buttons. Her fingers continued to explore his chest and back. With one hand he touched her face and ran his fingers through her hair. With the other hand he unbuttoned her blouse exposing her flesh colored bra. He slid his hand behind her and freed her from its confinement. Lifting her to a sitting position, he pulled both the bra and blouse free. Taking possession of her hands, Ashton seized one nipple with his teeth. Bobbi moaned and he moved to seize the other circling his tongue against her areola. Ashton shifted his weight, grinding against her. Bobbi bucked at the increasing pleasure. He slipped his finger beneath her now wet panties. His touch was sure and strong. Her body responded with heat and wet honey out of pure need. She moaned again. Letting go of her hands, he slid along her body to the edge of the bed. As he moved she raked her hands down his back. Gently he slid her panties down taking time to taste her sweetness. Standing at the foot of the bed he stared at her naked frame. Her nipples were pink and hard. Her inner thighs glistened in the low light of the room. Ashton licked his lips. He kicked off his shoes. He wore no socks. Bobbi sat up and her hands deftly freed him from the confines of pants. Naked he pressed her back into the soft pillows. His mouth again exploring hers. Her tongue scraped his teeth and she cried out as his hand slipped between her legs. Opening them for him, his finger tapped her clitoris. She closed her eyes as the touch sent her into a distant place. She rocked against him as his fingers slipped inside her, the heel of his hand massaging her. “Bobbi you are so wet.” Ashton rolled off her and slipped from the bed. Reaching for his discarded jeans he pulled a package from his wallet. He smiled at Bobbi. “Always prepared.” She giggled. Ashton breathed deeply. “You are so beautiful.” He moved to lay down across her. “We can stop.” He offered her. Bobbi quickly rolled with him, she now lay atop him. His hands cupped each full breast and her nipples hardened even more than she thought possible. This felt so good. She discarded all reason. Her hips pressed up. He was large, thick and hard against her. She looked down at him with half closed lids reveling in her pleasure. He reached up, supporting the back of her head, and rolled her back underneath him. She was pinned to the bed by his weight. She watched him slide the protective barrier over himself. He poised above her as he pressed her legs open and slid between them. He lifted her left leg, plying it with genle kisses as he placed it over his shoulder. As he repeated it with her right leg, his fingers again slid inside her. She lifted her hips to meet his touch. “Please.” She wanted to feel that fullness.  He smiled at her and pressed deep inside her inch by inch. A small yelp came from her mouth. It had been so long since she desired this. Ashton looked down at her afraid to move. “Did I hurt you.” “No” and she dug her heels into to urge him on. He watched her face as he moved in and out of her. His fingers kneaded her love knot. The pleasure took over her. Bobbi closed her eyes and moved with him. The delicious sensation filled her and she came with a cry that shook her body. He waited inside her for her to recover and slowly moved again inside her. Deeply and harder he thrust. She lifted her hips and from within grasped him deeply. He could not withstand her charms any longer and  he climaxed. Bobbi held him tightly as long as she could and then he withdrew. He took her in his arms and showered her with kisses.

Bobbi slept in his arms. He held her against him watching her sleep. They both agreed this would be a first and a last night together. Letting his hand drift along her body his touch awakened her. He claimed her mouth. Bobbi sighed and wrapped her legs around him.

Blood Obsession: Roberta

New York society was gathered to raise money for promoting art in city schools. Evelyn and Arthur Wallace purchased a table at Waldorf Gala. Their law firm would me making a $1,000,000 contribution. Roberta sat with her occasion date Andrew Marcus and her parents partners in the firm. Tonight she wore the uniform of Roberta. A one shouldered black silk floor length dress. Her hazel eyes highlighted in smokey green makeup. Her lips blushed with a bright red. Around her neck she wore an emerald necklace that glimmered in the light. Andrew’s hand remained possessively on her knee despite her quiet attempts to slip free.

“Roberta, this is your last night to back out of your little folly.” Andrew smirked. Bobbi as she preferred o be called pushed his hand away again. “Andrew, tomorrow I graduate as a New York police officer. It is my career, not a folly.” She shook her head. Andrew’s dad looked at his son with dismay. “Leave the poor girl alone.” Trying to come to her aid. “That’s the point Dad. She is not poor.” Arthur Wallace stood and took his daughter’s hand. “Come dance with your old man.” He escorted her into the crowd on the dance floor.

The next morning Bobbi sat in her blue uniform. Madison Square Garden was filled with 1000 new police officers. Graduation occurring in time to be on the streets for New Years Eve in Time Square. She was pleased to actually have an excuse rather than see Andrew again. Her parents remained deeply hopeful that they would marry one day.

Bobbi listened attentively as her comrades were bestowed service awards. The Police Commissioner spoke of each ones accomplishments. “This is a first in our department history. The Deputy Commissioner of training award for firearms proficiency goes to  24 year old probationary police officer Roberta Wallace with a score of 100 percent. Officer Wallace is a college graduate and is proficient in two languages.

Bobbi rose to applause to accept her award.  Cameras flashed as she stood with the mayor and the police commissioner. “I would rather be in this uniform.” She quietly mused to herself.

That night after a perfunctory family celebratory dinner Bobbi slipped away to join her colleagues at a midtown cop bar. Flannery’s owned by a retired State Police Officer, was dark and loud. The sound of ice clinking filled the air. Bobbi sat in a large booth with 6 of her classmates. She sipped a beer as they bantered about their new assignments. They toasted. “Tomorrow a new beginning.”

Blood Obsession: Day at the range

The sun beat down on them. Its orange ball breathed fire. Bobbi stood with her cadet class listening to Sargent Curtis Montgomery from the firearms and tactics section speak about gun safety. This was the first live shoot at the Rodman’s Neck range. Bobbi stared at the basic circular paper target. They would be asked to hit center mass at the target. The statistics were appalling as most police officers could not hit the side of a barn in a crisis situation. “Concentration and focus.” Montgomery prattled on. Her group took position at the firing point. The instructors paced behind them. Goggles and ear protection on. Bobbi noticed Ken Wells two positions to her left. His hands were shaking. She shook her head. “Poor guy.” She thought as she gazed at another female cadet. Brittany Wilton.  Bottle blonde with a brain like a box of rocks. She thought her way through the academy was to shake and shimmy. “No wonder these guys think women cannot cut it.” Suddenly she felt warm breath against her neck, “Ready Wallace?” Ken George stood behind her. Gorgeous to look at. Ken stood like an Adonis. His ego matched his swagger. She was now the boar he was hunting. He towered above her and closed into her personal space. “It’s just your first time. Do not worry if you don’t do well. We can arrange for some extra practice if you need to.” “Thank you sir.” Bobbi bristled and stemmed the eye roll and the desire to kick him in the balls.

She checked her weapon. The Glock 19 9mm with 15 rounds was comfortable in her hand. This was not the first time she shot a pistol. “Eye wear on, Ear protection in, All Clear, Ready, Fire.” Montgomery commanded. Bobbi raised the pistol and fired. She sighted the first bullet as it pierced the target dead center.  Stifling the smile, she fired the remaining bullets in a perfect circle at the 2 inch radius. Upon completion, she placed the weapon down. “You are full of surprises Wallace.” Ken George sneered into her hair. Bobbi raised an eyebrow. “Yes sir.”

The long day complete Bobbi returned to her parent’s penthouse. She dropped her pack and collapsed onto the stunning black couch plopping her feet on the glass coffee table. She starred exhaustedly at the city skyline. “This would kill them.” Her eyes closed as she fell into a deep sleep.

Blood Obsession

The offshore breeze blew softly. The sails of the boat rippled gently in the wind. Bobbi lay dozing on the deck. Her eyes dampened by tears of her last memories of Erik. She loved him and tomorrow would keep her solemn    promise. The police academy beckoned her to begin a new life. Today she remembered his touch. His caress made her quake with desire. They made love that last morning together. His naked body glistened with sweat from their passion. She watched him leave their apartment never to feel his breath against her again.
